Men's suit for indoor use. Italy, about 1740-1750. Silk and gold. Seta Textile Collection. The collection donated by Count Luigi Alberto Gandini in 1881-1882 consists of more than 2,500 pieces of fabric, trim, ribbons,and lace. The collection offers a rich and varied collection of yarns, techniques and ornate textile art, mainly Italian and European art from the Middle Ages to the 19th century.
