Finnhorse, sometimes called the Finnish Universal, as the Finns consider the breed capable of fulfilling all of Finland's horse needs, including agricultural and forestry work, harness racing, and riding. In 2007, the breed was declared the official national horse breed of Finland.
Now it has been tested: Finnhorse really has the splashed white gene! It was not known before, there haven't been any loudly marked splashed white Finnhorses for decades and less marked splashes look a lot like sabino (which is fairly common). Finnhorse mare Intiaani (photo here) has been tested to be a heterozygous splashed white.
