Finnish Himmeli

Himmeli, straw crafts with symbol meaning and often made for Christmas. A popular tradition in Finland since ages. This book by Eija Koski newly launched with all sorts of himmelis, both for modern and traditional interior.

Pajaki (plural of 'pajak') ~ Polish for "spiders of straw," a traditional folk art, floral-like mobile made with paper, straw, and yarn. These are via the Pol Art Center and are handmade in the town of Nieborow.
