Window blinds on exterior, instead of Mashrabiya screens (but the frame slides in the same way). Blinds are more adjustable, so we can cool down the house without losing too much natural lighting. Also, blinds (when white) will reflect sunlight onto either the ceiling or the floor or into the room as a whole.
