Place value game where students roll the dice to make the base 10 block numbers then write how many tens, ones, and the number. Relates to the standard of place value and where each number belongs within a large number.

This website has a lot of great, fun and creative ideas to help students practice place value. My favorite is the ice cream cones. Students get to build ice cream cones but matching the numbers and different ways to write the numbers.

Make a multiplication tower - think logically about number patterns and the commutative property. See our labelled tower to understand the colour-coding.
