A Nebula in Another Galaxy
Aside from being one of the largest galaxies in the night sky, the Triangulum Galaxy contains many dynamic HII regions of nebulosity. These are nebulae in another galaxy so large that they are cataloged deep-sky objects.
I recently photographed the Triangulum Galaxy from a dark sky location. And although I have captured this spiral galaxy many times before, this time I used a new (to me) technique to reveal the nebulae within M33. Spiral Galaxy, Space And Astronomy, Dark Skies, Earth, Sky

The California Nebula is designated NGC 1499 in the new general catalog. The most noticeable characteristics of this nebula are its striking resemblance in shape to the US state of California, and its red color due to its hydrogen composition. A great astrophotography image is very subjective. What some people would consider to be the ‘perfect’ image, is a complete mess to others. While there are some core aesthetics that I think most people can agree on (nobody likes a noisy image), other aspects have vastly different opinions depending on who you ask. The Pleiades is an open star cluster in the constellation Taurus. It lies about 400 light-years from Earth and is about 100 million years old. In the northern hemisphere, the fall and winter seasons are the best times to observe and photograph the Pleiades.
