Summersweet 'Pepper Bush' (Clethra Alnifolia) - Zone 3-9 Part-Full Sun 5'-7; Height 6'-8' Width Slow-growing ornamental shrub with dark green foliage (changing to yellow/orange in fall) and spikes of spicy-smelling white flowers (on new growth) in summer. Great as a specimen, or in groups, in borders or foundations and as a naturalizing shrub. Attracts bees and hummingbirds. Prefers moist to wet soil, water deep during droughts (does not like drying out). 'Hummingbird' - dwarf variety 3'x3'
