Disturbing poster from the Surfrider Foundation makes the effects of plastics in the ocean real. Recent studies estimate that fish off the west coast ingest over 12,000 TONS of plastic a year! We need to all do our part to reduce & reuse. What goes in the ocean goes in you.

Ocean Banner - Seahorse by SaveMyOceans.org Campaign~ I wanted to focus my campaign on the toxic plastic trash accumulating in our oceans. Plastic can take thousands of years to fully degrade but it breaks down into smaller and smaller pieces bite sized pieces for our marine life to mistakenly consume. It seems so absurd that a plastic bottle we use once and toss sticks around for thousands of years after. SaveMyOceans.com
