This impressive vessel is not a form described in the form book of the manufacture Clement Massier. The square base rising as a pyramid meets a round body that slopes gently to the undulating floral mouth. The decoration is a magenta sky with a wild alien patch of sharp menacing leaves rising from the base of the vase, circa 1895
