Roman gladii, 1st cent CE. These gladii are of the Pompeii type, with the typical punched and decorated locket plates as well as the chape and other features. These gladii were used all the way up until the late second century, where the gladius was dropped in favor of a ring-pommeled sword and the semi-spatha.
