Master Bedroom: the bed of a Tuareg nomad is topped with a silk ikat coverlet from Uzbekistan and a Moroccan brocade pillow; the Tuareg door tassels are from Mauritania, and the mirrors are Syrian.

Rooftop Terrace: The floor cushions are upholstered in Kuba cloth and antique silk saris, the leather nomad rug is from Mauritania, and the bench is made of wood salvaged from a riverbed.

KITCHEN: The counter and floor tiles were locally crafted, the cabinets are fitted with Musharabi screens, and the Berber-style ceiling is made of reeds and wood beams.

A Tuareg bed with pillows covered in silk from Uzbekistan in a guest bedroom; the chair, which was hand carved from a tree trunk, is from Ethiopia, and the cast-bronze side table is from Benin.

SITTING ROOM: Fashion designer Liza Bruce and artist Nicholas Alvis Vega’s home near Marrakech features a 1940s Yoruba armchair, decorative crosses, a carved-wood chair from Ethiopia, and a variety of West African accessories. Vega designed the fireplace surround based on the Moroccan eight-pointed star motif, and the walls are painted in a custom color Bruce and Vega call Passion Plum.

AFGHAN WARLORD BED: Serves as a sofa in the ground-floor sitting room, the pillows are covered in Kuba cloth from Congo; a wool Berber cape on the wall; the Musharabi cabinet is custom made.
