They are from a pattern book for embroidery (about 1725) by Margaretha Helm. A stomacher is a stiff panel, usually triangular in shape and often heavily decorated, inserted in an open bodice to cover the corset in eighteenth-century dress.

Rococo trim was woven in France with silk ribbons. This style of trim was used as decoration for French boudoir Furnishings, purses and fine quality textiles in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Trim measures about 3/8th of an inch in width. New trim, woven in France and sold by the yard while quantity's last. ROCOCO: A style of decorative art, that originated in France in the early 18th century and is marked by elaborate ornamentation, as with a profusion of scrolls, foliage, and animal forms.

Here is a fabulous 18th Century ladies pocket book. The cream silk background is embroidered with gold metallic threads, gold sequins, green glass beads and coloured metal sequins. It opens with a European silver and pink clasp to reveal a pocket divided by a silk divider.
