Swedish Rag Rugs from The Northern House. I love the larger design at the ends; that's unusual in a rug such as this.

Traditional Swedish Rag Rugs

I do love the Finnish woven rag rugs

Three small rag rugs cover the living room floor. The upcoming autumn makes me want to cover the white wooden floors with dozens of rugs.

Scandinavian Made: Handwoven Rugs

Scandinavian Made: Handwoven Rugs

According to the Scandinavian Made website: All the cloth that our weavers use to weave the new woven rugs are recycled – we gather in cloth locally (bed linen, curtains, old clothes, for example jeans etc) and all cloth is washed until no more color will run from it, ironed and cut into long, thin pieces, that are rolled into cloth balls (as you would do with knitting yarn) and then used for weaving.

Cloth carpets - a proud tradition in Scandinavia.
