In WWI & II, factories couldn't turn out the 1911 auto pistol fast enough. Smith & Wesson & Colt both produced this revolver that used the 45 acp cartridge. Just like the 1911, this revolver is still a viable self defense weapon a hundred yrs after being introduced.
