The spherical LED-array is the solution to the difficult light-pattern of the flat LED-array: too much light in the centre and too little light to work with for the reflector. The top-image shows the light-pattern of the flat LED-array. The bottom-image shows the spherical LED-array with it spherical shaped substrate (see photo-sites). In this case-study an improvement of 10% more light to the reflector-surface.
