A Greater Manchester Police officer and her Ford Capri vehicle in Chorlton-cum-Hardy in 1982. The Capri was in service with the Force for many years and was perhaps the most iconic GMP police car of its era. It carried the famous white livery and red stripe, which earned it, along with other vehicles with the same colour scheme, the nickname of jam butty cars. Vintage British Police Car?
I promised my friend Shaun to post some vintage British police cars that I saw in Oakville (a suburb about 50 km west of Toronto) during the British Car Day 2010 rally. Not actually sure what car this is, it's a bit before my times. The black Consul next to this one is a presered real police car. Photos to come.
