British Rations 1880's to 1918
Daily rations during WWI. It's adequate, at least in terms of caloric intake, but It doesn't seem to be very balanced. Malnutrition became a problem towards the end of the first world war, and looking at the rations, one can see why. But it was probably unavoidable. We didn't have to technology to provide preserve fruits and vegetables and their nutritive value back then. Nor had vitamin pills been invented yet.
