Black Hills Expidition | Lieutenant Colonel George Custer and his crew left from North Dakota to search for a route to the southwest and find gold. They also wanted to find a spot to make a fort in the Black Hills of South Dakota.

Hundreds of years ago, Ute Pass Colorado was a trail the Ute Indians would take to hunt and travel between their winter and summer camps. It later became a wagon trail carrying supplies to the gold fields during the Colorado gold rush.
