Hemp - not suitable for all balers

There´s only number of big balers and round balers able to bale winter-retted biomass. For most of the balers the long fibers is just too much. It takes hours - if not days - to remove tangled fiber from baler pickups.

Freezing weather is crucial part of decortication process for spring harvested/winter retted hemp. Fiber bundles detach from the stalk and undergo a process removing pectin, sugars and waxes. Sunshine before harvest lightens up the color of fiber and hurd.
