Bêtes de Mode (Fashion Animals) by Helmo (graphic design duo Thomas Coudred and Clement Vauchez) -- blue portraits + red animal portraits superimposed and displayed in the windows of the Lafayette Galleries on Hausmann Boulevard.
I love how this design intertwines the rectangle and the one flower. It makes the flower stand out and gives it more of a effect causing the piece to stand out more as a whole. The quality of the photo is very nice and the design was put together well.
Negative space LESSON Objective- combining tessellations with photography using technology such as Photoshop. Intro to cropping; (optional: consider actually printing/cutting the tessellations to create a puzzle.
I like how the photo is almost hidden because there is the space in between the dots that starts to disguise it. I could incorporate this into my magazine by using a full-page photo and making a grid of shapes the form the entire picture.
