Revell Toronto City Hall 7
Designed by Viljo Revell who won the international design competition in 1958, Toronto City Hall opened in 1965, replacing old China town which was bulldozed in the 1950's to make space for the building. Like most visionary modern architecture it was quite controversial at the time.

I was in Toronto last week for the 10th annual Greenbuild conference and expo. Though my short time in the city was spent primarily in the convention center attending seminars and visiting product booths, I took a few hours one glorious afternoon to take a brisk walk around downtown.
