In 1895, Agnes Richter, a mental patient in Austrian asylum, embroidered her standard issue uniform jacket with text. Through embroidery so intense that words appear and disappear into seams and under layers of thread, she transcribed herself into time, space and place, orienting herself in disorientation, transforming an institutional/ distant object into something intimate, obsessive and possessive. There is no beginning or end, just spirals of intersecting fragmentary narratives
