Unfortunately, chronic ankle instability can be present in up to 40% of people one year after an ankle sprain ⚠️ Risk factors for ankle sprains include a lack of ankle dorsiflexion range of motion, balance and proprioception deficits, diminished lower extremity strength, previous ankle sprain, lack of external support at the ankle, and withholding from a dynamic warmup prior to activity ❕Most ankle sprains will recover within 2-6 weeks depending on the severity of the injury. Add this in your warmup or do this stand alone, but don’t ignore working on your ankles. These drills won’t take much time, and they can prevent a lot of injuries that one may have to go through.
