After our morning on the beach, we headed over to Beverly Hills. We started on Rodeo Drive, window shopping for all the things we could not afford. We really don’t belong on the street lined with high-end brands. At the end of Rodeo Drive, we visited the Beverly Hill sign and walked down N Canon Drive, admiring all the gorgeous houses along the palm tree-lined road... Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel is one of Rodeo Drive's iconic historical landmarks, but did you know there used to be a racetrack in its place? In the roaring ‘20s, the southern part of the city was dominated by the Los Angeles Speedway, which hosted 80,000 spectators for the 1924 'Speed King of the Year' championship race. Check out what it used to look like, and make sure to give our friends at @beverlyhillshistoricalsociety a follow for more great Beverly Hills history!
