Inspired by vintage corset covers worn by Victorian and Edwardian women to protect their outer garments from the busk of the corset and hide the corset under the clothing. I used a panel of hand embroidered crazy patch originally intended for a quilt, a hand crocheted vintage lace collar, lots of vintage crocheted laces and a crinkled cotton gauze for the back panel, embellished with a scrap of very beautiful vintage French needle lace.
