As was last year, the motto for our VBS was "Go Big, Or Go Home." And with a theme like Everest, of course we had no choice but to go big. I duplicated Group's giant mountains, using 2" thick foam board and a hot knife for carving. I went a different route than Group for the carved dimensionalizing, and opted instead for something a little more irregular.
