Today I continued with the outer trimmings of the half scale house. I felt like the eaves and gables were too wide, so I cut them. Soon I will give them support brackets. As you can see here, the eave is shortened, and will be given a gutter and bracket. This makes it more realistic. As you can see from the previous post, I had put shingles on the gable ends. A lot of progress has been made on the 1:24 scale house since the last post. I have been very lazy, and so here is the first post in three months! I have wallpapered the four main rooms. Today I went to work on doing the covers of the little Phoenix Miniatures bed that I bought some time ago. I made the mattress of two layers of corrugated cardboard. I was able to spend a lot of time on the Fairfield today. I worked on all sorts of different areas. I started by putting together a House of Miniatures mirror kit. The kit is actually 1" scale. These kits are not made anymore. You can find a lot available on ebay. They're really easy to put together and finish nicely.
