Frozen Strawberry Banana Dog Treats

This summer has been HOT!! Your pup deserves a sweet treat that’s delicious and good for them too! These are made with nonfat greek yogurt, which is high in calcium and protein. Yogurt also acts as a probiotic which can help your pups’ digestive system. Coconut oil is also included, which can help improve your dogs’ skin and coat. I just made these the other day and my dogs were so excited to try them! It’s a quick and simple recipe that you can make in a few minutes and can keep in the freezer to give as a special treat for months when sealed correctly in an air tight bag or container. Ingredients 1 cup Yogurt 1 cup Frozen Strawberries 1 Frozen Banana 1 tablespoon Honey 1 tablespoon Coconut Oil 2 tablespoon Water or Skim Milk Supplies Used Blender Silicone Mold Tray (ie Paw Print Silicone Mold) or covered ice tray/mini cupcake tray Baking sheet, or flat tray to place molds on Steps Place all of the ingredients into the blender and blend until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Consistency should be that of a milkshake. Spoon or pour mixture into your desired silicone molds or tray of your choice. Place molds in the freezer and freeze overnight. Take out and let the pups enjoy!! Directions: Place all the Ingredients into the blender. Blend until smooth and creamy. The consistency should be that of a milkshake. If it is too thick, add a little more water/milk. If consistency is too thin, add a few more strawberries or banana slices. Spoon the mixture into the molds. This recipe should make enough to fill 4 of these molds. It may vary a little depending on the size and depth of the molds you use. Place the molds into the freezer and freeze overnight. Tips: * Make sure if you are using silicone molds, place them on a baking sheet or flat pan. This way you will be able to easily pick up the trays to put in the freezer. *Works best if strawberries and bananas are frozen when starting. You can also use pre-packaged frozen fruit. Take the molds out of the freezer and pop out the treats. Place them into an air tight container to store in the freezer. I hope your dogs enjoy these treats as much as mine did!!
