Spray muffin tin(s) with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.  Add sausage to a skillet over medium-high heat and cook while breaking up until cooked through.  Drain excess liquid from the skillet and set aside.  In a large mixing bowl, whisk together Kodiak Cakes, protein powder and water until combine.  Add syrup and mix until combined.
