Lovely as a tree

Lovely as a Tree Sympathy Cards It is never easy to write out a sympathy card, but it is a part of life. This past week I had several friends lose a parent. My heart reaches out to each of them. I sat down to create a card for a friend whose father had been in the navy. It started there. I grabbed Night of Navy and I loved how it looked with Gray Granite. The Gray Granite Ribbon was a bonus and at last minute I decided to use the Rectangle Framelit. I knew the Buffalo Check Stamp Set

Isn't it wonderful to be able to retire after 18 years of faithful service? That's what's happening to the Lovely as a Tree stamp set.

This is really a simple card to create. I used the fourth from the smallest of the Circle Framelits to cut a hole in a scrap piece of CS and then sponged within the circle onto the top layer of CS.

TGIF for those of you who are still working. I can't believe I've been retired for 19 years! My upline just retired and this is the card I made for her a few weeks ago so some of the colors might not be accurate in my description (sorry). I sponged the top part of a Whisper White mat with Seaside Spray and the bottom with Pear Pizzazz. I stamped the trees from Lovely as a Tree (retired) in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. Then I ran the panel through my Big Shot with the Woodland Embossing Folder…
