This remote and unspoiled, 280,000-acre Monument is a geologic treasure, containing a variety of diverse landscapes from the Paria Plateau, Vermilion Cliffs, Coyote Buttes, and Paria Canyon. Elevations range from 3,100 to 7,100 feet. Located on the Colorado Plateau in northern Arizona, Vermilion Cliffs National Monument includes the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness. The Monument borders Kaibab National Forest to the west and Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to the east.

Marble Canyon is a 1.6 kilometer out and back trail located near East Kootenay, British Columbia, Canada that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and walking and is best used from June until September. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

The park is set amidst towering cliffs of coloured limestone, and encompasses Turquoise, Crown and Pavilion Lakes. Campsites are situated in open forest on the lakeshore of Crown across lake from waterfall. The beach is gradual and safe even for small children. Rock-climbing, hiking, scuba diving, fishing and wildlife viewing are popular. Open from late spring to early fall. Check bcparks.ca for updates.
