Happy Canada Day Quilt

Happy Canada Day everyone. By the time we went to the cottage on Saturday, I had 60% of this sweet quilt machine quilted. It's called Oh, Canada. Today I spent a bit of time to finish up the quilting and the binding. The quilting is really wonky but I like it. Swirls in the white background and geometric straight line shapes in the sides of the flags. And each of the 10 maple leaves is quilted uniquely. It was a fun quilt to do. Oh Canada Quarter Sections

Cindy made the great Canadian version of the Quarter Sections pattern from our very own Highway 10 Designs. The fabric collection that she used is the Oh Canada Stongehenge from Northcott Fabrics. Cindy made this quilt for a special young man so we decided on the Gatsby pantograph, Quilter's Dream Blend Batting and a fun red Stonehenge wide backing.
