Red Dragon- one of the artwork I've done for MTG adventure of forgotten realm sometimes ago, dragon is really fun creature to draw but to keep the large feeling and dynamic gesture is super challenging. I inspired to draw the head closeup after finishing the image, I dont know if it considered as original asset or not , the process it self is really precious moment to me! :)

Kept this one a little sketchier. I wanted to try emulating the proud stance of the classic Todd Lockwood-esque dragon, and I thought no example would be better to follow than his Red Dragon from version 3.5 Dungeons and Dragons. It was loads of fun, and attempting to capture the lion-like pride in its stance was a nice reprieve from my usual work.

Red dragons are, even for dragons, extraordinarily arrogant and covetous. They favor high perches like mountains or even hills, and they prefer areas of volcanic or geothermal activity. They are tyrants who command armies of lizardfolk, kobolds, and the like, and consider every other creature their rightful cattle or slaves. Aside from their scales, which darken from a bright glossy scarlet to a deep dull red as they age, red dragons are distinguished by their swept-back horns, spinal frill…
