If someone is going to go as far as saying this is “the only bodyweight workout you need for glutes and toned legs” - that workout better contain exercises that do that. Leg raise and kickback variations simply don’t. So if all you have to utilize is your bodyweight - USE YOUR BODYWEIGHT. Position yourself so your muscles have to perform their actions (hip extension for the glutes and knee extension for the quads) against gravity pulling your body weight down.
