Vintage Finnish Flag Ceramic PLATE CLOCK by TheTimelyEmporium, $40.00
Finnish language has 16 cases. We do not use prepositions or articles at all. Finnish is most closely related to Estonian and Hungarian.
"Oma koti kullan kallis" cross stitch. (translates into English- literally as "own home (is) valuable as gold" but means the same as the English expression "Home sweet home" )
This means how are you? in Finnish. "Mitä" means what in this but curved version miten means how in finnish and "kuuluu" means in this sentence "are you" but alone kuuluu really means hearing something AND separately kuu luu means moon and bone. If we write kuusi it means spuce but it can mean your moon AND it number six 6.THIS IS WHY I'M PROUD TO BE FINNISH
yummy...:)) and when I travel to Finland, I shall try this....not know what it is but it looks delicious. ( giggle)
Finnish grammar: 14 cases!! And some word sounds accidentally similar to some Japanese words...for example, Puutalo (tree house) in Finnish but in Japanese means person without job. Finnish is said to be a remote relative of Japanese language.
Strange. It's like we're schizophrenic. And that's REALLY scary when I'm in the "franglish" mode and speaking BOTH languages in one sentence.
