Kindergarten students created fun owlets! We began by drawing the owl step-by-step and ripping brown paper to create the owl's feathers. Ripping the paper was a great way to work on fine motor skill development. The students practiced cutting by tracing two cups for the yellow eyes and cutting them out. The students really enjoyed this project. We used oil pastels, construction paper, craft paper, and shredded paper from the office for filling. Yarn was used to sew the stuffed owl up. Examples close-up are located in my October posts.
