BMW 1 Series Neue Klasse
BMW is set to introduce new electric 1 Series and 2 Series models, enhancing their electric car lineup. The i1 will be available as a hatchback or saloon, while the i2 will be a compact crossover with a coupé option. These models, expected in 2027 and 2028 respectively, aim to provide affordable alternatives to the current €46,000 ($50,000) iX1. Both the i1 and i2 will be based on BMW's new dedicated Neue Klasse electric car architecture, supporting various drivetrains and enhanced software connectivity. This platform will also underpin future models like the second-gen iX3 SUV and i3 saloon.
