A well armed Saxon sentry from Landwehr Infanterie Regiment 133 somewhere on the Eastern Front. His helmet is a M1915 type Pickelhaube with removable spike. The helmet is covered by a M1915 Überzug (cover) with dark green L 133 letters and numerals sewn onto the front - dating this picture sometime before October 1916. He is armed with two types of stick grenade, and is wearing a heavy, woollen Petzmantel (overcoat).
