Photos I've taken. These are mostly from the City of Seinäjoki. Small ostrobothnian city in Finland.
It is Juhannus, the festival of midsummer now. The sun sets only for few hours. In Lappi, northern Finland sun doesn't set at all. This photo was taken at midnight along a field in Nurmo. Nurmo is part of Seinäjoki. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com

This is Johnny Traber driving a Finnish Valtra Tractor on two wheels. This stunt was part of a show by the German Traber family. They performed stunts with cars, motorcycles, tractors and monster trucks. They are on tour in finland this summer. You can see them in Seinäjoki tomorrow also. At the new Citymarket. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com

Again from Ylistaro, the Kyrönjoki river and a fountain in the middle of it. This is taken from a bridge that goes over the river near the small center of Ylistaro. Ylistaro was merged into Seinäjoki in 2009. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com

Ylistaro, which is nowadays part of Seinäjoki, has this "Komia Kirkko". The dialectual nickname translates into Magnificent Church. It was built in 1847-1850 and designed by E.B. Lohrmann. As the church is very big for a parish size of Ylistaro, it has been playfully told that the was a mixup in the drawings and some smaller church should have been built there. I quess that is not true and it stands right where it should. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com

This meadow is located near the center of Seinäjoki, beside the river. The are not so many places here where you can see this many dandelions at the same time. If I just remember, I will take another shot when they turn white. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com

Sorry for the one day gap between the posts. I'm back. If you wonder what this is...It's part of a statue, built to honor entrepreneurs. Self employment and entrepreunership is common and honorable in this area. The statue is standing in the middle of a roundabout. Reflections are always fun, but I like this especially when it is sphere shape. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com

Here is a historical view of Seinäjoki. This old meat factory Itikka, nowdays known as Atria, will be demolished this summer. It will be replaced with a new apartment house area. They planned to leave the chimney, but it was in so bad shape it wasn't safe. seinajokidailyphoto.blogspot.com
