Maybe not this exact mirror one more rectangle. Have a huge framed mirror setting on just a few of the tables. (dessert table, gift table, sign in table). I know you said you don't want to cover the tables up, but maybe doing this with a few would give a little variety and add to the room. Not big elaborate framed mirrors, more simple and modern but that has character.
