Cute idea: birdhouse chandelier made from Goodwill chandy and unfinished birdhouses from Michaels. Just hit the whole thing with white spray paint and hung on tree in back yard. In between birdhouses are tea cups and saucers for seed or water.
Plant Seedlings in a Citrus Peel: Use a lemon, orange or a grapefruit to start your seedlings. Plant the entire thing in the ground and the peels will compost directly into the soil to nourish the plants as they grow.
ReGrowing Basil: Cut some of the tops off, put them in water, and watch them make more roots! Re-pot them and have fresh basil all winter long. Some have cut off the flower heads and popped them in water and created new plants, as well.
