A Woman Reading. Martta Wendelin (Finnish, 1893-1986). Wendelin, known especially for cards and magazines cover images (e.g., Kotiliesi), was a draftsman, and illustrator of fairy tale books. Wendelin drew about 650 Christmas cards and almost 30 Christmas characters. Used the Finnish national issues and transformed the image of what is a “traditional Finnish” Christmas catalog.
