Marimekko's Kaivo print is stunning. Maija Isola got the idea for the Kaivo fabric (1964) at a well. She dropped the pail in by accident and was mesmerised by the living rings that formed on the surface of the water. The heavyweight cotton of this handsome Kaivo fabric gives it rigor and durability, makes an excellent fabric for interiors. I love the Marimekko fabrics as curtains and table clothes.
Oiva/siirtolapuutarha teapot The graphic Räsymatto pattern of the Siirtolapuutarha teapot is a Maija Louekari design. Open up your cupboard, take out a cup and your favourite tea, and savour the moment.
