It really works my brain - and, although this can be ridiculously frustrating at times, when it does work out, it is THE most satisfying process. Printing encompasses creativity, but also practicality and problem-solving. It’s all very well making drawing up a beautiful design on my iPad.. but then I have to figure out how to bring it to life...

Heron Moonlight Linocut

The Heron Print is an original design made fully by hand (by me!). I sketched and then carved this image out of a linoleum block, and then hand printed it on heavyweight paper. Outside of being an artist I am a boat captain and I live on my own sailboat. Hearing the fish jump while relaxing in the cockpit is one of my favorite things. All of my art is inspired by the life that I live on the water. The dimensions of the print are 12"x9". Because I print everything by hand there may be slight differences between each card, and that is part of the beauty of printmaking!
