You may have heard many things. A lot of clichés - repeated by visitors as well as the natives - that don't quite add up or match the images I have in my head. Home is people and stories, places and events, flavors and odors... all under constant construction.

Of course he wanted to join.*  Over two years, they took several two-week-long trips all over the country, where, even in the smallest cities and towns, they found at least one karaoke bar. In 2007, they published a book, Karaoke Nation.
