Behavior Visuals for Specials Classes - The Autism Helper
We want to share support for our specials classes - like gym, music & art - with specific behavior visuals! Our students may frequent these classes yet feel unfamiliar with them. Time to pull those same strategies that are successful in your classroom into the specials room!! From theautismhelper.com #theautismhelper
Bubble Gum Blurt Chart - this is something I created for my class to help encourage self control during instruction time. my students have 3 chances (3 pieces of gum per week) and if they interrupt or blurt out a piece is removed from their name and put into the LOST BUBBLES bucket. If they have any pieces left at the end of the week, they will receive a price of bubble gum. Hopefully this will help cut down on interruptions and talking out.
Calm Down Kits in the Classroom » Autism Adventures
Calm Down Kit on the go is a full binder full of behavior visuals and tools that can be used with students with autism and special needs. Teach students to identify the emotion, de-escalate, reflect on their behavior and transition back to class. Utilize the whole calm down kit to help students de-escalate in the classroom, regulate emotions and calm down.
