This 4th grade math center is perfect for the month of March! Fourth grade students will enjoy this St. Patrick's Day game that helps them practice finding equivalent fractions. St. Patrick's Day math makes learning in the classroom a lot more fun. Students play a fractions game where each rectangle whole number matches with a circle that has a fraction on it. Students lay down all of the circles and have to be the first one to grab the fraction that goes with the equivalent fraction.

Math Coach's Corner: Equivalent Fraction Dash. My 5th graders used to love this game because, well, you get to run in the classroom. Basically, you divide the class into two teams and hand out the cards equally to the two teams and yourself. You, (the teacher) display a fraction card in a pocket chart. Players from each team check their cards to see if they have a card with an equivalent fraction, and then one player from each team rushes to the front to place their card in the pocket chart.
