Finland's flag is also called "siniristilippu," meaning "Blue Cross Flag" and dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. The blue cross represents Christianity and is based on the Nordic Cross, just like the other Nordic countries. This flag was created after Finland gained his independence from Russia, though the design does date back to the 19th century. The white is said to symbolize the winter snows while the blue is meant to symbolize the country's thousands of lakes and the sky.

A WW2 Japanese poster that depicts some figure very grandly, in a white and red outfit looking off to the right. It was the picture when you selected Japan in Hearts of Iron 2. I'd appreciate it. A discussion about the posters could be had as well.
