Eighth graders did this....I need to get my high school students to do something this cool!

White paper cut out trees/forest. On graders did this. Fifth-graders Meredith Connor and Annabel Huber admire “Arboretum,” created by Waynflete School eighth-graders and hanging in the school’s Art Gallery. Courtesy of Waynflete School, Portland, Oregon

Chris Ware, of cWare Studios, is a graphic designer, print maker and artist from central Florida. At Maker Faire Orlando, he'll be hosting a Maker booth focused on LEGO Print Making, which was selected as an Educators Pick at the event.

If you’ve never witnessed the printing process, it can seem like a magic trick: Layer after layer of color is laid down, one shape atop.

One of my all time favorite projects to date, from our portrait drawing unit last year. Proper proportion portraits on collaged paper (book paper and painted paper). Backgrounds were painted in a sheer coat of gesso. White spiral and leaf stamp in hair (ahhhh, details...). My little guys (5-6) made these.
