An extremely old cultivar, lost for several hundred years before being rediscovered in the 1980s and renamed after Henry VIIIs warship which sunk in the 1500s. Full double smoky purple blooms smother the foliage, nodding in the summer breeze from July to September. Prefers well-drained soil in sun or part shade with feet in shade, loves coastal areas. Height 3.9m (13). Fully hardy perennial. Supplied in 7cm pots from May onwards.
